We've been down this path before. I well remember the S&L crisis of the 80's. Staid institutions making sanctimonious claims to the public about their prudence turned out to be snake pits. And the story was the same: reckless lending practices encouraged by politicians on both sides of the aisle.
I don't belieeeeve this? No, sadly I do.
Like you, I am speechless.
I wonder how much that little fellow was paid to be exploited ... um, I mean ... hired for that commercial.
